Artist's Description
At 110-feet tall, this is Ozone Falls, located on the eastern edge of the Crab Orchard Mountains in Tennessee. When the water is low, as seen here, it vanishes underground in the plunge pool, reemerging a short distance downstream beyond a cluster of huge boulders. This picture is somewhat deceiving, so I'll explain. In the foreground, the dirt trail ends behind the greenery, at which point there is a 40-foot drop to the right. Though the trail may appear to wrap around the gorge behind the falls, it does not - that's another trail at the base of the falls.
