Here’s my rendition of the inside of an iron ore dock located in the downtown harbor of Marquette, Michigan. Based on an analog photograph from the 1970’s, this interior chamber has a length of approximately 500 feet, with a ceiling height of 60 feet. The octagon shaped pools of water stretched from end to end, serving as structural buffers to displace strong waves during storms, and, during sunny days, casting refracting light through the water as colorful reflections across the pillars and ceiling.

Forest trails leading to beautiful, oftentimes remote waterfalls. Mountain peaks with expansive sunrise views.
